rane 61 mixer will not allow me to connect my scratch live

i was doing a gig on a boat and they had a rane 61 mixer i plugged it up on my computer with my scratch live and it did not open i don't no why cause my cpu plays good on any other mixer and this is the first time this has happened to me .how do i elminate this problem
