How to setup Serato DJ Video for Karaoke

So I am in for a bid for a DJ Gig that they want me to play music, but also have the ability to do Karaoke. I know Serato DJ has the capability, but I don't know how and what I need to set it up. I know I need to buy Serato DJ Video, but I guess I need to know how to setup a second video monitor for them to use to read the lyrics.

Any explanation would be much appreciate.

it's just an extended desktop, and you just output the video on the 2nd monitor.

so for MBP's you'd get the mini dp adapter to HDMI/VGA/etc, and then you plug it in to another monitor, then just configure it as extended desktop.

once that's setup, you just drag the video output to the 2nd monitor and maximize the video window. it's really easy to do

It really depends on what computer you have if its newer most likely it will have a HDMI output so no adapter is needed. If it doesn't then you'll need an HDMI adapter. You could always use VGA if your computer has this built in. It would help if you get tell us about the specs of your machine cause that will really factor if video mixing will even work with your machine.

completely forgot about the new MBP's as I mentally blocked those since it's WAY harder to upgrade the newer MBP's.

Yeah I like the fact the new ones just have the HDMI built in its so much easier. Not even sure why Apple didn't do this in the first place it would of saved users money and hassle. But again it's Apple lol

Help!!! I have 10 sd cards of karaoke that I want to Start using as part of my business. How do I get the cdg and mp3 (same song) into Serato so I can play it with the videos?

I switched over to DEX3 for Karaoke and mixing software. You could also use the cheaper version of LYRX if you want karaoke only.

Hi - I cannot find any real karaoke videos on Tidal, only soundtracks - do you have a link? Thanks
