you probably will not have the space inside any mixer to add any harware that big.
but there is plent of space outside. i'd say say get some duc tape and or two sided tape may be neater and just stick it to the mixer in any comfy spot that wont affect your cables or or any of your mixer features.

The actual insides of SL boxes are pretty slim, really just a PCB board with RCA terminals, USB terminal and power supply. There's no need to stuff "the whole" box inside a mixer, just the PCB board. Now figuring out where to mount it to inside the mixer might be tricky.
I'm not an electrician, so can't help you out where to solder, but there's a thread buried here on the forums that explained how to put a SL1 in a DJM-909, can't imagine it'd be that different for other mixers.

I can't risk my DJM2000NXS and SL4 to unsure results.

I would try to ask www.henraycustoms.com I think he could do this for you he does a lot of customized things with DJ equipment. It might be very pricey though👌🏻

same principal as in this mod,
scotched.tumblr.com
solder the inputs on sl4 to the phono in / or input 1 on mixer, same for each deck/channel
then go from the line outs on sl4 to the line ins on the mixer,
i question your ability though if you cannot use google to find "serato internal mod"

????
If you know how to hook up the SL4 outside the mixer. you wire it the same way INSIDE the mixer...
If your internal mixer power supply is big enough, you may be able to tap the power off the mixer's power supply and eliminate the SL4 power supply - otherwise tap the AC at the mixer AC input cord (check amp draw requirements, but I suspect neither the mixer nor the SL4 draw much AC current)
If you are using the SL4 power supply, you probably want to also keep the SL4 in its case as the case adds shielding.
Be careful of where you route the AC wire if you are going that route - no sense adding 60Hz hum to the mixer
