As per subject, practically any fast track around 140BPM is being detected as 80BPM etc.
Those music genres are really distinct so please make your detection algorithm a tiny bit more sophisticated. That will save a lot of work and time and result in positive experience with Serato.
If you don't have anyone that can think of algoritm like this I can provide simple discription, for example when there is a steady beat of certain amplitude for 10 seconds and the beats are in 140 bpm then it is 140 BPM track, if there is a lack of beats in the pattern THEN and only THEN you can write it as 80BPM susspecting some hip hop. It is really easy.
I am really surprised that you are not ashamed than most of random BPM detection free apps can do it better. (not to mention dj software).

sorry, I have put 80BPM instead of 70BPM (or 140 instead of 160) but you get the idea and the fact is I don't really know what is the BPM, I just guess it's detected as half BPM.

This happens with most software out there. I agree it's annoying and I'm constantly finding tracks that got half bpm'd when cleaning up my library.

Never happened to me on Virtual DJ, so I disagree with generalisation like this.
Also it sometimes doesnt detect the bpm at all.

Never had that issue in all of my years, but the halving is a common complaint. I'd just stick with VDJ if that works better for you.
