Serato and Mac Book OS 10.6.8

Javdon 8:18 PM - 25 April, 2016
I have an old black Mac book that I used to have Pro Tools and Logic on along with Traktor. I now want to use it with Serato and have come into some issues with configuring my system. I've uninstalled all my midi application, this will only be used as my DJing system. I brought a Pioneer DDJ SB2 want to practice with Serato intro to eventually move up to the full program. however Serato is not detecting my controller DDJ SB2 and I can't figure out why. I have a small gig this weekend and would like to get it working before.

Gear: Black Mac Book
OS: OS 10.6.8
APP: Serato Intro
Hardware: Pioneer DDJ SB2

I've tried to adjust the Midi setup but it keeps saying loading and nothing happen. I also get this pop up about pace software or iLok but I no longer have any audio production application running. Any help will greatly appreciated.

hey Javdon, Did you find a solution yet? My MacBook pro is not detecting the hardware as well.

Guys OS X 10.6.8 is very old software the SB2 came out around 10.10 Yosemite it's a fairly new controller. You need to update your OS X you're way behind.

Correction the SB2 supports OS X 10.8 and above. See here www.pioneerdj.com

Try updating your Mac to 10.8 and retry.

DJ Tecniq , sorry mate . That was Javdons query. I have the similar issue but in the above mentioned configuration. Hope you can help.

All good what are the full specs of the late 2011 MacBook? Is it a MacBook or a MacBook Pro? If it is anything below an iSeries processor that's likely the problem.
