Version of Serato DJ for Intel Core 2 Duo & OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

Which version is recommended for this configuration? I have a MacBook Pro with those components and from what I've gleaned, 1.7 doesn't officially support El Capitan and 1.8 doesn't officially support Intel Core 2 Duo. Is that right? Is one more stable than the other?

I'm using a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro (2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo) with El Capitan 10.11.2 and Serato DJ 1.8.1 with no issues at all. I have however updated the Hard Drive to an SSD which makes a big difference. As long as you're not doing Video you'll be ok with the latest version.
