Every ten minutes Serato starts scanning my downloads folder - any ideas why ?

How did you found that its Serato who is scanning it and what exactly "scanning" means fr you in this context?

An orange banner appearing at the bottom of the Serato screen- saying Scanning/ and then the directory listing for my Downloads folder.

There is option to auto import new files. Check and disable it.
