I recently lost one of my most important mobile dj tools, my RocknRoller® Multi-Cart® R10 Watchwww.youtube.com

So after about 7 yrs with the RocknRoller these are some of the new options im looking at

1. GruvGear Muver 6 DJ Cart
Watchwww.youtube.com

2. Gruv Gear V-Cart Solo

Any other options I should be looking at ?

pretty cool that you can use your cart as a table, maneuverability is nice also will make ting easier
DJ VEE 1:29 PM - 14 October, 2014
Thanks for the info. I've been starting to look around for a cart. I was pretty much set on the rock n roller, but I think this just changed the game.
As far as which one to get, not sure. The solo looks real nice for tight spaces and small gigs, or where there are steps.
However, the Muver with the table top...
No more having to lug around a table. Truth be told, I just carry a 6 foot folding table and have a black fitted tablecloth, so it's not that big of a deal, but it might serve as a nice additional work area when there are more DJS and you need extra space. The Muver 6's large wheels in the center looks like it will allow you to go over thresholds in doorways a little easier than the rock n roller.
An option might be to buy both and forget the table top for just about the same money. If not, I think the Muver 6 is the better option.
If the build on these is comparable to Magliner, I think this is a better option because you can make it even more compact for tight spaces.
We have a venue where EVERYTHING has to go through the kitchen and everything has to be unloaded from the back of whatever vehicle you are using because the loading dock is so thin, you can hardly open the doors. You have to slide out carefully, (thanks Mr Engineer and local inspectors for approving that one, lol).
I don't know if there are better options out there. I think this is better than the rock n roller IMO.
pdidy 9:11 PM - 14 October, 2014
I've never considered those magliners an option because size an weight is an issue for me. Watchm.youtube.com
DJ VEE 9:30 PM - 14 October, 2014
I thought about it. They are light for their size and well built, but take up way too much room .

Nice thread Pdidy... I like that GruvGear Mover for sure! The price isn't too bad either considering the convenience it'll give you.

thanks......The GruvGear Muver 6 is definatly the right cart for me since i tend to move alot of gear but the "convenience tax" they put on the table top accessory www.gruvgear.com www.bhphotovideo.com is just freakin outrageously over priced. I could get another cart for that price like DJ VEE said....... I will stick with my 6ft folding table.

I hear you, PLUS, I want things as stable as possible. I see a couple of wheel locks up front but the rear wheels don't appear to lock. I don't need my table and turntables moving aNyWheRe while I'm spinning.

Anyone able to get the dimensions of the table top. I tried to view the details and got the spinning wheel of death till I have up. Pretty much decided it's not worth the money, but I'm still curious.

Yup. That's the same issue I have. It's a great idea, but as mentioned before, it's an expensive idea for what you are getting. The stability o the whole set up being on wheels might be a problem also. I would be fine, I don't do any crazy mixing, scratching or anything, but I have to admit that I'm a real estate hog as far as the table space goes. I like to have an option as to where I keep my laptop, side or front. I also like to keep a book or binder on the table, the mic, maybe a light controler for simple set ups, etc. not to mention a beverage of choice from time to time, lol. I think my 6 foot folding table is still a better option. I'm sold on the cart though. I think it's a good deal.

I did not list the Solo XL because of its inability to fold small and it's more expensive with the purchase of the extension required. so Muver 6 wins by default.

Exactly, As nice as it is its really not an option for me because I hate laptops in front and i generally use 2 laptops at a time on the sides with my rane 62 so I really need the 6ft table space.

It would be good for a wedding ceremony set up table with a small mixer and a few mics.

Yes. Just not at that price point. I need a wireless mic. I would rather put the money toward that. Both carts are a good deal though. The rock n roller doesn't pivot on center, which would have come in handy for me a few times, but it has the stair climbers and is half the price.
Damn it!!! I thought I had my mind made up. Now I'm re thinking it...
djattila 11:14 PM - 15 October, 2014
The foot print of the rock n roller when at its smallest position seems to be much smaller that the other cart.

Well, I bought the Muver 6. It should be here by Thursday. I have a small gig on Friday. Hoping it gets here in time. This gig is the perfect situation where the Muver 6 would be ideal.

I would think I could just use the top of my Odyssey SZ controller case for the table, no? Or make something similar. I'd like to just use the cart, tabletop & facade - easy in and out (nm).

I got one for Xmas... wHoo HoOO!

Baby's asleep so it's time to assemble it now...

The bolts for the wheels are a lil hard to get in.
DJ VEE 2:43 PM - 29 December, 2014
I still have to put mine together. Thanks for the heads up on the wheels.
BigWave DJ 4:39 AM - 30 December, 2014
I got a GruvGear Muver 6 just before Xmas. Used it at a gig on Saturday night and it worked great!. It was really nice to wheel around with the equipment on it.Then put the flight case on it and instant DJ table. Made a scrim using a black table cloth and some velcro.
It is very expensive but my thinking was why just get a table when I can get a great cart and table in one combo. The Muver is pretty heavy but I guess thats to be expected considering the load it can carry.

Can you buy the pieces they showed that held their table top to the cart separately?

If so, you could probably install that on the inside cover of a coffin (I'm using TTs and mixer in a coffin) so would make perfect size table then put coffin on top. Height could be an issue though (I'm 5/5") and laptop placement. Maybe a crane stand under one of the TTs..

...or just stick to my RnR cart and table and not spend $400 lol...if it ain't broke..
