why does the sync turn off all the time?

in traktor everything stays in sync. in serato the sync button has o be repressed over and over ie once you have nudged a track, skipped to a cue point etc. why is that?

Hi e_p,

If you go to the setup screen you will see an option "Maintain Sync on Track Load", this may be what you are looking for, we leave this as an option as some people like to only use sync intermittently whereas some users like to have sync maintained across the whole mix.

Hope that helps! If not let me know,

I think he means that smart sync turns off whenever you touch anything

BBD - thats exactly what I mean. why is that? is there an actual reason?

Hi e_p

yes.

As soon as you touch something, you are moving the two songs out of phase. The tempi will remain synced, but the tracks phase aren't locked to each other anymore.

Whe show this by turning the SYNC button from blue (full sync) into yellow (tempo sync)
Pressing SYNC again will make the track jump into phase with the other song again.

Could you explain what it is you would expect to happen? Or is it only about the SYNC button changing color?

Cheers
Karl

cause its not tractor. i actually like sync. tempo sync actually. dont use beat grid since i stiil enjoy counting beats and bars to get my phrase and corusses dropping in time. that keeps me busy a little. otherwise i wud have nothing else to do till the track is ready to drop in. unless i want to be creative which make no sence in majority of dj situations. until the computer learn to read that human element which is wen to select the new track, djs have little to worry bout. WHAT U WAS SAYING BOUT NOT STAYING IN SYNC AGAIN, IF UR BEATS GRIDS ARE CORRECT, IT SHUD STAY PERFECT
