Ok my idea is to allow a 3 band or 4 band equaliser within serato for both channels. Similar to the way that you can change the gain level for each track in your library, my idea is that you can EQ all your tunes on the fly before gigs, so that overall it makes your sets much better sounding. We all know how difficult it is to EQ a track in the club when you are being blasted with music in all directions, most often my mixing involves listening to the snares in DnB when cueing up a track, simply because with the monitors being louder than the club speakers, and the headphones being louder than the monitors your ears can barely make sense of all the noise let alone worrying about whether the hi frequencies of the song you are bringing in match nicely with those of the track you are bringing out! Pre gig EQing of each individual track would make me feel more confident in the way my sets sound to the crowd. Its fine in the studio when you can here it all nicely and tell when you need to take the highs or mids up or down of either track on your studio quality monitors but in the club its much harder. What do we think of this idea and is it somthing that i can look forward to???
