But, i have buy a new laptop, of course with Windows 8.1

I use this configuration also for little event, and I am in the mud now.

Hi DanJay,

ITCH is not currently supported on Windows 8. ITCH is also a discontinued product and all further development is going into Serato DJ.

Check out and download Serato DJ here > serato.com

There are a lot more features in Serato DJ and a lot of improvements. It is free to use with your DDJ-D1 :)

Kind regards

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

I start Serato Dj after I plug the DDJ S1, no compatible dj device connected.
I am lost with this Serato DJ.
I hope all the fonctions of the DDJ S1 work on Serato DJ like ITCH.

If you go into your Control Panel > Sound, under the "Playback" tab do you have your DDJ-S1 set as your default sound card? If it is, make sure you change it back to your computers internal soundcard (usually 'Speakers').

Make sure the DDJ-S1 is NOT set as the default.

Does this help?

Yes the DDJ-S1 works great with Serato DJ, and has a lot more features than the ITCH software.

Did you install Serato DJ with your DDJ-S1 connected? Try running the installation again, but make sure the DDJ-S1 is connected the whole time during installation :)

Are you able to try another USB cable, or try connecting via another USB port?

Do you have an External USB hub around? If you could test connecting through the hub, that will be a good test.

Do you have any other USB devices connected at the same time?

I have seen this issue before on Windows 8 computers, but sometimes closing and reopening the program helps with the connection.

This is exactly the problem that changing the default soundcard usually fixes. Usually the "Error: Failed to connect audio" error is fixed by making sure that the controller is not set as the default.

Do you have an AMD processor in your computer by any chance? We do not support AMD processors so I am unsure if it will work.

I have just realised I have not asked about the firmware yet. You need to install the updated firmware on your DDJ-S1 before you can use Serato DJ.

The firmware needs to be upgraded, and you can do so here > serato.com. Please follow all instructions carefully.

Yes the latest firmware it's update, always the same

A friend give me V.....dj pro to try and he run correctly with the ddj-s1. But I don't like this, i prefer to use Serato dj!

Hope we find the solution soon.
