Hey Scott,

Yep, you can do that but you will need to use a 3rd party application (such as Audacity). Try following the steps here - serato.com

Hope that helps :-)

Hey Micah thanks,

I have the same question only related to the vci 400
please can you clarify if it is now possible with Serato Dj 1.6
to record the mic inputs without a 3rd party software?

"[Caution]
* The current version(1.1.2) of Serato DJ does not support recording from the external inputs (Mic, Line)."
Vestax

is this resolved?

thank you for your time and patience
peace bro

Hey Scottich,

Yep, it's the same. Use Audacity to record the mic with that controller as well.

thanks but to me, thats not really a solution
its too much like a work around.

Are there any controllers able, to record, direct to Serato through mic/phono/line without Audacity?

what about vci 380 ?

cheers ,

Hey Scott,

No, there is currently no feature in Serato DJ to record mic. I would definitely suggest using Audacity, it's really easy to use.

Hope that helps :-)

Cheers,
Micah
