I was practicing with my NS7II the other day and was playing a track on my left deck, and all of a sudden the song skipped to a later part of the track like someone touched the touch strip.

I did not touch the touch strip at all. Any ideas why this happened?

Hey DJ EAE,

Thanks for getting in touch. Do you have any steps to reproduce this? Have you been able to do this since? Do you have the latest drivers and firmware installed?

Thanks for replying Dave - I haven't been able to reproduce this error since, but will let you know if I have.

I have just noticed the NS7 II is pretty glitchy and the sound quality isn't that great.

I just noticed this yesterday for the first time. It would skip to the middle of the track randomly and really pissed me off. I cleaned the deck with some solution and a paper towell, I assumed that was it. I kept running my finger over the section repeatedly, punching random parts of the strip and it stopped. Took about 10 minutes but haven't had a problem since.

Hey DJ EAE,

What is your USB Buffer latency set to currently in the Setup > Audio tab in the software?

I'm glad you asked because this just happened again last night. It is set right in the middle at 5ms.

All I was doing was playing a track on the right deck, and practicing scratching on the left - and the track on the right deck skipped to the middle of the song.

That's the third time overall that this has happened, and I didn't have anything else running on my MacBook, bluetooth and wifi both off (and all of my tracks have been analyzed and I have no corrupt files).

I hope this gets fixed as I can see some other people have experience this as well.

i have had this problem. My issue was caused by eddie currents. I was near some high voltage ( transfer) lines. Maybe grounding it will help. this solved my problem as i used speaker wire and a steel rod in the ground. Not saying this is the problem but static or stray currents can cause weird stuff. Ground your controller and make shure the outlet is grounded. I can rant on grounding for ever but just because the out let has a ground does not mean it is proper. AND our controllers are not grounded hence the terminal and yes neutral is the ground improperly in most cases.
