Watch the DJ TechTools video from NAMM.(Watchwww.youtube.com) Look at the track gain at 1:37-2:01. Then, same Outkast song with PnT enabled 2:07-2:57 gain is now in the red. I have recently added the plugin and I am seeing this same issue. Asked around on the Serato Forum and so far found two other users as well. "acemc" on a DDJ-SX and "young3" on a Rane 62.

I agree, PnT is adding to the overall gain of our tracks, pushing them into the red.
For now I will leave PnT disabled so as not to have any distortion, I'll rather just enable it whenever I feel I need to. But obviously this needs to be fixed.

I have a gig tomorrow night and with the tracks lighting up a little hot now, wondering if it will effect the sound and CPU load. I mixed for a half hour and pushed each track about +/-8% with keylock on... or I guess what used to be keylock... (Should I call this button something different now?) Lets just say Pitch n Time was enabled in setup menu and I pushed the keylock button on my controller making that new chain symbol light up white and blue!?!
Anyway, I actually didn't hear any problems (digital clipping.) I did see a few red bars in the "Track Output Level Meter" but never really effected master volume or engaged the "limiter light" like I thought it would. I was surprised I didn't hear much of an audible difference. Just a little less aggressive over all sound but I would expect some change with such a heavy effect/algorithm as PnT... Apparently the way I already had my gains set up, left that bit of head room now needed? I don't think I will see much of a problem live.
Sound quality wise, It's far more useful than the old keylock. I guess even if there is some digital distortion it still somehow sounds better... At least this is my prediction for tomorrows gig. Massive club volume bass can change everything ; ) I will report back how it really plays out live!
Bottom line right now; if this was a free keylock upgrade I would probably just live with it and not use it much but now that this is a paid for extra, I would like to see this hammered out like I purchased a defective product.
Also wondering how this is not a widespread topic... Are we doing something different here or did nobody purchase the Pitch N Time DJ expansion?

Here's my report on how it plays out live:
Allot of fiddling around with the cursor but I had a ok experience with it and the sound quality was not noticeably effected. I guess it just shows how desperate I was for a decent Key Lock (that I would look pass all this and still somehow like it.)
It's like purchasing a remote for your tv that doesn't work well. It still beats getting up and changing the channel at the tv but you wonder, what did I really buy here? ; )

Hi ODDreDEALER, acemc,
I've been able to reproduce the track going into the red here as well, with PnTDJ enabled vs not enabled.
I've yet to notice the audible break up myself. Either way I'm going to make the a bug to be fixed and log it.
Regards
