Finally thought I would make the move over, and after many failed attempts of installing, uninstalling, and updating.. I am finally writing this.
As soon as I turn my Sixty Two on, Serato dj crashes. I can turn my mixer off, start Serato dj, starts fine, turn on the mixer later,.. crashes.. To the point, I completely uninstalled everything, including the mixer, still same results.
Yes, Rane Sixty Two is updated to firmware 2.14
Windows 7 64, service pack 1
Intel Xeon X3360 2.83Ghz
8GB DDR
Thanks

If you revert the firmware does it still crash?
Firmware revert is uploaded above.

firmware reverted back to 1.17 successfully
and still whether I start Serato DJ first with mixer power off,
OR if mixer is already on.. Serato DJ crashes after 'device connected'
I even tried turning off bitdefender antivirus, no luck
different USB ports.. nothing
even USB A AND USB B on the Rane Sixty Two, still crashes

The old firmware won't work with SDJ.

Is your music stored on the internal or external drive?
I.V. 6:47 AM - 19 February, 2014
I reverted back to the old firmware because you asked me if SDJ still crashed.. and yes it does.
My music is all internal, a 2TB hard drive, that mirrors to another 2TB hard drive for back up, it's a home PC, built mainly to store music, nothing else.

At this point, with the reverted firmware, does SSL crash or is it just an issue with SDJ?

Can you upload a crash report? I'd like to get it in front of Serato's support team in hopes that they can see what is happening.

it is solely with SDJ, Scratch Live worked fine with both firmware versions..

Hey i'm having the same issue with SL3. Program loads fine but crashes as soon as SL3 is connected. works flawless with ScratchLIVE 2.5.

Hi all, this might be that your library size is still ok for Scratch Live, but slightly too big for Serato DJ. Serato DJ can not handle libraries as big as Scratch Live currently.

When you connect the hardware it will need more memory than in offline player, which might tip you over the edge.

We are working on improving the library and how many files and crates it can handle, but in the meantime i would like you to try the following:

Rename your _Serato_ folder to _Serato_1
It is in your Users Music/ folder.
Now try to start Serato DJ (it will start up with an empty library.)
Can you connect your hardware without crashes now? If thats the case then your library may be bigger than what Serato DJ can currently handle, and you may need to remove some files from it. See this article: serato.com

To get your old library back for use with Scratch Live, remove the newly created _Serato_ folder and rename the original one (_Serato_1) back to _Serato_ again

Cheers
Karl

Karl,
yes, if I do NOT load any crates, it does NOT crash...
problem solved, for now...
