Well if anyone is wondering TwinSouls is *not* my DJ name but a nickname a friend of mine gave me many a years ago because I was born a Gemini (The Twins). So I use this in my production name TwinSoul Productions or T$P for short. She would tell me that she never knew what to expect from me like I have split personallity's or something. Till this day I don't know if that was a good or bad thing ??? But it definetly applies to me musically. Im all Hip Hop when it comes to DJing but I listen to nothing but RnB in my personal time and was even in a Hard Rock band (Drummer)for a minute.SO ya, I'm musically twisted.

I tried the rapping thing once and a guy I knew gave me the name A King's Ransom and I just took the Ransom and threw DJ in front of it and now you have DJ Ransom.

I don't even have a DJ name anymore. GuerrillaTactics is the name of my promotion company, "grrillatactics" is just a shortened up version of it. I just use my real name, which is Nolan. I don't even like it when they put "DJ" in front of my name. When I introduce myself, I always do so as "Nolan", so why not just simplify the whole thing and also use it for DJing?...

My DJ name comes from my last name. Yasnoff. It is pronounced Yaz'a'noff. It's Russian, People called my dad Yaz and they called me Yaz even before I was a DJ. My first name is David and that's very common so a nickname was in order, and no one wants to say my whole last name. So my name became Yaz to almost everyone that knows me.

I use DJ in front of the Yaz to avoid confusion with the 80's band.

All my friends call me K.Smith so I just put DJ in front of it... Plain and simple... Dj K.SMith

my name's roland...but the guy who actually first taught me how to dj is also named roland (crazy coincidence since i've only ever met about 5-8 roland's in my life). so he had the name "dj roland" already, and we lived in the same city and all, so that was definitely out. i think i just wanted something with "ill" in it, and then i didn't want a "dj" in front, so some friend of mine came up with the idea of always having everybody call me "mister" - mister iLL

Two friends made my username. Actually, they made the word, and I adopted it as my username/"DJ name." They were playing with refrigerator magnets, "sound" and "ion." Rotate the "sound" magnet 180 degrees and put "ion" at the end. Technically, it's spelled incorrectly with a capital P.

Mine is a knick-name I got in jr. high ... i used to play basketball with all my homies and back then everyone had to be "baby" somebody ... baby jordan, baby shaq, baby rodman... I was the short, non-basketball-skill-having white kid, so I got named Baby Shitty ... some of them dudes still call me by that...

the only other knick-name I had was DayDay, so I went with Baby Shitty.. much more marketable...

Funkdigital was/is the name of my website. I came up with the name for the site and the username I used was funkdigi and/or metalface but there already is a metalface out there, MF Doom so I went with my site name.

I came up with the name DJ Dawn many years ago when I was about 13 years old. I'm a graffiti writer and Dawn has been my tag since then. The letters just fits together!? I formed my Dawn tag after seeing a ringtone on my old Nokia 5110 which had the name Dawn. I played with the letters and realized that they were so nice that it actually should become my tag and identity! The step from Dawn to DJ Dawn isn't very far when you suddenly starts to DJ instead of writing so much...

Now later I have realized that there are many other DJ Dawn around the globe. There is one in Germany, China/Japan and one in the US... but hey I can't change my identity! I'm DJ Dawn...

I ran track for like 8 years and was the only brother on the distance team. They called me the Black Steve Prefontaine (Icon distance runner back in the 60s'70s, coach founded Nike) because of my running style so they called me Pree for short. Hence the birth of DJ Pree.
