I havent moved my files TO an external hard drive yet, I just moved them to a "Master File" on my desktop. I do want to back all of them up to the external, but I dont want to have to use the external hard drive, to use serato.

I have clicked the "Relocate Lost Files" button and dragged the file that holds all of my songs, and it still has not "Found" my files.

I do have the Intro program, that does seem to "have" the files available to play.

but you did move your file location from the desktop correct? moving files, or renaming files will cause SDJ to lose your files. Typically you if you can find even just one file that is lost, then the rest are automatically found. provided that you move the files into the same location.

Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, R_D_Cline is right, once that location is broken, the DatabaseV2 will no longer know where to look for your music.
If you have moved all your music into a folder on the desktop, the 'Relocate Lost Files' process should work and it should relocate your music from the new location.
You keep using the word file, do you mean folder in some cases like this "and it still has not "Found" my files" ??

Yes I moved my files, into a folder on my desktop. And dragged that folder, into the "relocate lost files" button and it did not recover them. After hours and hours of moving files, re organizing, I chose to back up my "master folder" to my external hard drive, wipe my computer clean of all my music (big risk) and re add it all from my external. After sacrificing many hours to this process, it did work and I was able to re analyze my library in time for my gig. My suggestion to Serato, is to look into why it did not locate the lost files, as the button intended.
