It says that this is a free upgrade from itch. I have had itch for years and Serato DJ 1.6 does not recognize my v7s. I have 2 of them and it says "NO COMPATIBLE DJ DEVICE DETECTED" It also is trying to make me pay for a license and it is supposed to be free. What's up? Can anyone help?

have you tried SDJ with just one deck connected? it is a free upgrade for itch controllers. if you click that little "online" button in the lower right corner that activate panel should go away.

Try plugging into a different USB laptop port. (try all ports). That worked for me.

have you updated your numark driver and your USB driver? seems like for some people V7s are working after WiFi is turned off.

I have the same problem

I have tried everything that has been suggested in this thread and nothing works. It still does not detect my V7s. Does anyone from serato have any input? Any step by step instructions for the V7 for Serato DJ? My itch works perfectly and I have never had a problem with it. Works better than my scratch live with rane 57. Any ideas??

When you connect your Serato DJ hardware to your Windows computer, your operating system may secure your hardware as the default soundcard for playback and recording in Windows. If this happens, Serato software will not be able to access your hardware's soundcard and therefore will not connect.

If you are using a Windows computer with supported hardware (and Serato DJ license where needed) and your hardware doesn't connect, you should:

1. Close all applications

2. Navigate to Control Panel > Sound

3. Select your computer's internal soundcard or speakers as the default Playback device

4. Select your computer's internal soundcard or microphone as the default Recording device

5. Check the Communications tab to see if you need to set the internal soundcard as the default device. (this is not always necessary, as with some Windows versions there is no option to set a device in this tab)

6. Open your Serato software and try to connect your hardware once more

Let us know if that helps.

Did this advice help you to get the Numark V7 to connect to Serato DJ?
