Hi,

I can import the .m4a files (ALAC, apple lossless) under Windows 7, 64-bit in Serato 2.5 ... iTunes 11 installed,

but not on my Windows 8 laptop. Serato is reading the files but finally nothing is in the library. Settings are the same everywhere. iTunes is not installed on this laptop.

Read iTunes library is not enabled (and I don't want to enable it!).

Is (my most hated program) iTunes required on my Windows 8 laptop to import these files in Serato?

Thx

Or Quicktime required?

OK, found it.

iTunes 11.1.3.8 (64-bit) didn't install Quicktime 7.7.4 as it did in previous versions?

Installed Quicktime 7.7.4 manually and Serato reads the files now. :-)
