I have been using the ITCH and VCI-300 for a couple of months and just couldn't deal with not having a sampler any longer. Here is my version of how to have samples and use ITCH at the same time... Hope you all enjoy!
(Note: I am using Windows XP and Itch build 10429)
Anyone who has used Virtual DJ in the past knows that the software has a sampler and FX built in. Unfortunatly we cannot take advantage of the FX in Itch but we can use the sample bank.
1) First we need a way to trigger the samples in Vdj, this can be any USB game pad or joystick. Someone has already made a nice tutorial on how to convert a game pad or joystick to a midi device so I will post the link as opposed to rewriting it. Link :

If you wish to keep the gamme pad intact the way it is without modifying it then proceed to step 2
2) Once we ge that sorted out its time to get the new controller to convert the game pad signals into usable midi signals. We will do this by using 2 cool pieces of software. The first one to be installed is Midi yoke

once installed restart your computer and install the second program called

Now we need to hold the one of the buttons on the game pad down and click where it says note on then click ADD. When you have done this step for all the buttons you wish to use click on midi out and select yoke 1 from the dropdown list. minimize rejoice and oper virtual dj
