USING A SECOND MIDI CONTROLER WITH A DENON HC1000

SCRATCH LIVE SEAMS TO BE VERY RANDOM WHEN USING TWO CONTROLERS.
Is it just me or do other users find a second controller stops working when you connect the Denon hc1000s ?
I'm using a Novation nocturn & Denon hc1000 scratch live 2.5.0 on a 2.0 ghz D.Core mac book 10.6 with SL 1 hardware.
Conecting SL1 to usb port 1 then using a 4 way unpowered hub for Novation & Denon in usb port 2.
The only way I get them both to work together is to run Nocturns Automap software first with out connecting midi controlers. Load scratch live. Conect midi controlers with hub so they both power up at the sametime. Goto midi settings disable Denon as a midi device. Quit Scratch Live. Reboot Scratch Live, goto midi settings and reable Deon as a midi device.
If I don't follow this rebooting and disabling game one of the controlers does not work!
Also finding scratch live randomly has problems with mapping odd areas eg. two controls may not work for no reason. Reboot and they work again!
One more thing I should point out I only use the Denon now with its pre midi mapping on ch 1.
I map everything else eg sampler and fx to the Nocturn making sure I don't map conflicting notes that the Denon uses in its pre mapping.
Any help welcome..
Thanks..

Indeed there are some small things i noticed running the denon with other hardware , but nothing as complicated as you describe....worst thing ever happened to me is the unit it self not working properly and i just have to restart SL once only..been using it with cdj 350/ 400 natively, SEP C1 and other toys with no issues...Its would be a shame running it from a different channel and loose its native nature...
Have you tried to delete the Autosave and everything else on MIDI folder and to carefully remap your other midi from scratch while running the denon inthe meantime? ? That could help to identify any conflicts and possibly workaround them..
Cheers

Hi all,
since my original post I have found to use my two controllers together all I have to do is
boot laptop with midi controllers plugged in. Next load Automap for the nocturne.
Load scratch live.
Check if all midi is working if not quit scratch live and keep reloading it till all midi functions work. Normally the last midi to work is the first sampler (z) volume control.
I just leave the denon hc1000 ticked active all the time.
I must just say the novation nocturn is a great midi controller for fx and sample play back very fast access with 4 channels of midi having defined instant button access. Recommed this with the denon for total control of scratch live.

Thanks Nik,
It seams more of an issue of midi just not working than a conflict. I have found scratch live forgets saved midi settings sometimes and I have to reprogram them. Once I've used the setting for a week or two scratch live seams to settle down and works.
