Not sure what button I accidentally hit, but thru came up on right deck. I could load a song but could not hear it nor play it.

Hi brian,

On the front of the DDJ-SX unit are switches to change the input. Have you tried switching the channel that is saying "Thru" to PC?

The Virtual Deck will say "THRU" when one of these input switches are changed to Phono, CD or Line.
