denon 1000 vs 3500 vs 5000

OK for those of you who have these what's the deal?
I don't need to take turntables to weddings and some of the business parties I do. they are not paying me to juggle or scratch, so I'm looking into a set of denon CD players. I use my ttm57 when it arrives (lol). What are the main differences between these three? I have even considered just getting one and using the input swap feature on SSL. In my old age I'm trying to cut down on the size of stuff I carry. Thanks in advance for the info.

i have all three

i use the 1000s for all my private parties, different genre of music, straight up mixing.
this is what i bring to the private parties

very compact but it does the job.
I think the 1000s would be best for your needs.

do the 1000s have the direct drive pad on top that spins like a record?
hologram 8:32 PM - 11 March, 2006
^^^ Sorry I got my answer. I missed the clip downloads.
Hmm. now I have to decide if I really want the direct drive platter. I like th esize of what you brought. Who made that case?

-Thanks for the info.

I have all three as well.
Love them all.

The 1000's are the most practical / economical for weddings, etc. and for straight-up mixing. If you want to impress your customers with spinning platters then go for the 3500's.

seems the 3500 are a lot bigger and the idea si to cut down of the size fo the rig. Thanx for the infor Think I'm gonan pick up some 1000s

You are actually wrong. The DNS-3500 and the DNS-5000 are both actually smaller tnat the Pioneer CDJ-1000s. You can check the specs on both companies websites.
Rebelguy 3:30 PM - 13 March, 2006
Before I forget...they do weigh about 4lbs more than the Pio but actual physical dimensions are smaller.
DJMark 3:51 PM - 13 March, 2006
Rebelguy, I think he's referring to the Denon DNS1000 (a small slot-loading player Denon came out with fairly recently), not the Pioneer CDJ-1000's.

Unless you're dead set against Pioneer for some reason, their CDJ-200 is also a nice "basic" unit....with MP3 capability and looping. I personally (after testing both of them) found the CDJ-200's nicer to work with than the DNS1000's. They're priced about the same.
skinnyguy 9:17 PM - 13 March, 2006
ah..but the dns1k can "skratch" and the cdj200 can't.
hologram 12:01 AM - 14 March, 2006
yes I was talkign about the denon 1000s. I'll check out the CDJs too but I want to be able to scratch. Well scratch in my headphones while I'm bored at least. hehe thanx for all the info.
OG Supernatural 12:44 AM - 14 March, 2006
Hologram, have you checked out the Denon 6000?
hologram 1:20 AM - 14 March, 2006
hmm no. kinda skipped right over those. I guess I want something that still feels like tables with the mixer in between. I had one of the denon 2000fs when they first came out. Owned the Beach party market with it cause no one else could mix at the beach.

lol or if they did it was the last time the used whatever vinyl they had haha I forgot about that, I'll tell a story about that in another thread. Let's just say heat and wax don't go together and this guy definitly failed physics. Got to start a stupid DJ messups thread now.
