I'M IN THE SAME SITUATION!

I'm in the same situation too, everytime I try to open the program risult Not Connected anymore....after I updated to 1.5 all of the sudden the computer crashed and soon I've restarted the program was not recognising the controller.........I need Help soon 'cause I've lots of Gigs coming in!!

WOW..

SDJ 1.3 crashed for me all the time so I went back to SDJ 1.2

Now I hear it's happening with SDJ 1.5??

Extremely dissapointing :-(

I'm sticking with SDJ 1.2 for a loooooooong time! Absolutely no rush to upgrade.

At this rate, I think I will wait until SDJ 2.0

serato dj crash every time that I open with the pioneer ddj sx with both version of serato 1.3 and 1.5 last night the video out put stop working.

Have you got it working with 1.3? if not try that here - serato.com

After updating to 1.5.1 i have still the same issue, please help !

Yeah it's still working on 1.3 but not on 1.5 or on 1.5.1,
this is really weird !

Can you confirm you have no corrupted files in your music library?

Does this happen on startup? or during play?

I ve not check if I have any corrupted files, why on 1.3 i have no issue ?

I tried many times to uncheck the itunes library and i have still the same issue, same for serato folder, i renamed it for that the software creates a new one but even with the new one, i have the same issue... Maybe i have to format my mac ?

It does happen when i connect the ddj sx on start up, but if ddj sx is not connected it doesn t crash, only when i plug in the ddj sx or i put it on !

If not try that, otherwise i'd like to see if you can test with another unit. Perhaps this is faulty and you will be under warranty with that (provided you bought it new).

If it was an hardware problem why on 1.3 it's working with no issue ?

I have seen some others help request with the same problem on some macbook pro with ddj sx.

I think it could be related to the hardware as the program shouldn't just close without being able to open. Are you able to open the software without the DDJSX connected.

The issues with macbooks have been resolved by the update 1.5.1 for most users. Your case is unique.

Let me know if you are able to compare with another unit

Well, Yes i'm able to open serato dj without ddj sx !

I have seen another help request with same issue (same description), i don't know, i called a friend who has ddj sx and serato dj and he told me that 1.5.1 working perfectly on his mb pro...

Hey Matt, another friend called me today to tell me that he upgraded his serato dj to 1.5.1 and now he has the same problem on his macbook pro... I tryed to put my ddj sx on a windows pc on 1.5.1 and it worked perfectly, i guess it's not a hardware issue, it's software related...

Can you tell me if you have USB 3.0 ports on your mac or USB 2.0?

I'll recommend you stick with 1.3 until we can resolve this issue.
