Hey guys,
Anyone have any tips on how to scratch transition in and out of hiphop tracks? Ive been messing around, learning the different scratches, but i cant seem to figure out how to get it sounding somewhat like @ 2:07. what is the scratch pattern he is using?

Also, side question, can you guys offer me some advice based on your own experience on developing new scratch patterns for mixing?

At 2:07 those were just stabs with the up (volume) faders. Then he went into a couple crabs with a drag and then he faded out a baby scratch. You have to practice your stabs, they are maybe the most important scratch out there. The dude in the video is good, so maybe you just gotta get your speed up.
If you wanna learn more cuts, the best way is become a member of Qberts Scratch University. If you're cheap or poor, youtube scratch lessons on YouTube, there are thousands.
