Controller for Scratch Live?

Hi All,
I used to use Scratch Live with Technics and the vinyls - a while ago now and lost touch with it all.
Then I noticed the DJ Controllers that are about.
Things is, can I get one to work with Scratch Live or do I need Itch to do this kind of thing?
And if I can get a DJ controller, which one would you recommend? It's just for home use but I'd like something that doesn't feel like a shitty plastic toy!
Thanks for reading.

Serato DJ has replaced Itch, it's very similar to Scratch Live in terms of layout and uses the same library, so switching between the two is utter simplicity.
I have a Pioneer DDJ-SX and a Vestax 380, both of which I recommend depending on how portable you need it to be.

I use a 62, and theres so much of the software you can control from that mixer, it virtually feels like a "grown ups" controller

Platter control is a little lacking when using the 62 alone though... As in, it has none.

It would take some tweaking but a Denon DN-MC6000 can be show horned into Scratch. You still need a Serato SL box to make this work.

Bear in mind Scratch Live is not really built for controllers, its a DVS software. Serato DJ and DJ Intro are your controller software.

Basically any controller that came with Itch you can just plug and play into Serato DJ. Any controller supported by Serato DJ INTRO, you would need to pay an additional $129 to use with Serato DJ.

Thanks guys, that's cleared it up.
Will sell my SSL and put the money towards a controller with Itch, and then if I use it a lot will upgrade to DJ.
Sweet! Looking forward to being able to do mixes again without moving heaven and earth to set everyting up!

I think you've got a little confused there... Just to clarify, any Itch controller (except the Xone DX) gets a free upgrade to Serato DJ, either already or soon.
Only controllers which ship with DJ Intro require a paid upgrade to Serato DJ.
Just go to the link XCAKID posted above to get the full picture.
