Dell Inspiron N5010 64bit 8gb Ram, Intel core i3 2.4ghz, 250GB 5400rpm HD. CPU indicator always on red, sounds glitchy, distorted, effects unusable, can't keep a beat, very unplayable in all usb ports and through all outputs ie. Speakers/headphones. CPU usage varies from 60-100% and I have taken every step to clean up the laptop. Serato DJ very sluggish over all.

My apologies for not posting this in question format. I believe my pc is up to spec. Is there anything else I should be doing? I'm new to Serato

Hey J. Maldonado,

Thanks for getting in touch,

Before I can start the troubleshooting process I need to gather some further information,

1. Can you send me your FULL computer specs?
-- RIGHT-Click your MY COMPUTER icon and select PROPERTIES
-- Copy this information back to me please.

2. How big is your internal hard drive?
-- How much free space do you have on it?

3. Are you using any external hard drives to organise your music?
-- How big is the drive?
-- How much free space is on the drive?
-- Is the drive just used for music files?

4. Do you use iTunes to organise your music?
-- How big is your iTunes music library?

5. Are you using any other USB devices?
-- Any wireless mouses / keyboards?

Thanks :)

Also, Serato runs fine and doesn't light up red CPU dot on right hand corner with DDJ SX in the standby mode. As soon as I turn the DDJ SX on the red CPU dot appears. Bar/Meter on top right hand side never goes to red.

Jamie, I appreciate all your help and apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I have figured out that the problem was with my laptop's charging/battery system and not with Serato and/or the Ddjsx. You guys are awesome with the support you give, thanks!
