I can see this error appearing in my console at a lot. Please advise. It happens when serato isn't even on.
My computer is freezing up, with and without serato open, I was wondering if this had anything to do with it.
Please advise.
Thank you.

Hey Olib,
This is a plugin for the Bridge.
Try deleting it:
Click on your Macintosh HD drive.
Click on the Library folder.
Click on the Audio folder.
Click on the Plug-Ins folder.
Click on the HAL folder.
Delete the SeratoVirtualAudioPlugin.plugin.
This will get reinstalled when you open Ableton and Scratch Live.

Hi. Not using bridge at all, or ableton, just had demos at one point. So this should work right? Will try now. Thanks

Even searched the whole drive, can't find SeratoVirtualAudioPlugin.
Will check other drive though

Sorry for the delay on this.
I'm not sure why you can't find this file on your computer but the error report is obviously related to it and it most definitely needs to be deleted. I'm going to drop this in the Bridge help section as it most definitely has to do with the Bridge.

Hey OliB,
I believe this is a false message/error showing up in the console that shouldn't cause any other types of problems.
What types of things are you doing when the computer freezes up? Zach is correct, the SeratoVirtualAudioPlugIn is used for The Bridge, but you don't necessarily have to have it installed or anything.
The reason that it is in the console logs is because those reports list every active driver, even if they aren't being used. Scratch Live installs that driver by default.

Hi. Different things, nothing in particular. The more I'm doing the likely it is to occur, and it hangs. I think that's the common term.
Thanks!
Thanks!

It sounds like your computer could do with a fresh install of the OS or it might be worth having it checked out by a professional?
However, word of warning - I had something similar happen to me, at first it would be hanging when having a few programs open, but when I reinstalled the OS it actually made the problem worse and it was hanging every 30 seconds. The mac store ended up telling me it was the logic board that needed to be replaced.

Hey OliB,
Martin C has moved on from the support team but I let him know you have gotten back to us. Let me know if there are any developments with the situation after you get a chance for an apple professional to look at it.
Cheers, Sam
