Hows that working for ya?
Ive for years considered it...
too many times people would walk into a club that I knew from the "other side of the tracks" and say oh...If I knew u played HipHip/Oh If I knew you played Breaks....I had this club looking ect ect ect
But I dont wanna spend all this time doing something like that without some 1st hand stories of how its worked out.
Ive gone 10+ years under the said name... but most people associate it with EDM.
I was tinkering with the idea of creating a 2nd persona. ..well, just a name maybe to separate the two.

I'm working on a new company name - I'll keep one for parties and corporate events, and use another for weddings. It allows me to target market more effectively.
If you're able to market them seperately and do it effectively, then more power to you. If you don't know much about marketing, you'll want to think about it quite a bit before you make that jump.

haha no, it comes from a conversation about pizza burgers (ie a beef burger sandwiched between too circular pizzas) - obviously theres an ample amount of grease so when you bite into it you have to be careful since the burger is liable to shoot out. hence the term... made one today- think thats my weeks fat intake used up in one very hard to finish meal.
aaaaaanyway back to the topic, i always liked the idea of aliases, keeps separate ventures separate and allows you to experiment more i suppose, plus theres some healthy mystery if you do it right (Fake Blood springs to mind)

Ive had several alias come about recently from my friends. Last year for halloween i dressed up as a fun redneck while i was djing, and then i became known as dj incest for the night. Ever since them my friends have been calling me different dj names (softserv, meatspin) but i have yet to officially try one of those names yet.

I have 3... But only two have stuck. DJ Woody, which I had since High School. Jesse Alexander, which I also had since HS. People know me by either one of those. My third one is one that I'm working on... Radio 88.

i did it for about two years, but after the first year and a half people started to recognize me (from going to different clubs) and eventually i said it's too much work to market 2 dj names, and combined the two names to come to my current name that i have had for the last 8 1/2 years. It is a lot less work in my view
