trying to install itch 2.2 and it stops half way after the supposed driver installation but I already have the latest drivers for my NS6! I ran the .exe file as administrator already and I also tried deleting the driver from device manager and re-installing it! No chance! Have always had this problem with the itch installation! And no I don't have an AMD processor ! I'm running windows 7 pro second gen i7 processor 8gigs of ram and everything runs smooth on this babie! Except for your installer!

Didn't work brother! The only way I can install itch is if I don't plug in my NS6! I don't know if this will cause problems later though.

Hey AstroLapse,

So you have managed to install ITCH 2.2 without the NS6 connected?

If you already had ITCH 2.1 previously installed then you will already have the NS6 drivers, which means you shouldn't run into any problems using ITCH 2.2 with the NS6.

Are you able to install ITCH 2.1 again with the NS6 connected and have no issues? serato.com

What about perhaps trying 1.8.1?

Okay so I started using ITCH 2.2 with my NS6 and I started having issues with the effects, don't think they're working correctly. Also it randomly seems to stop playback for no reason. I tried installing v.1.8.1 and it wouldn't install, said something was wrong with my windows installer which I think is wrong since I have downloaded other software and installed it with success. Then I tried v.2.1 and the installer seems to start smoothly but after it's done installing the NS6 drivers it just stalls and doesn't do anything. All the installers no matter what version they are seem to stop half way, after they've installed the NS6 drivers. I've the installer alone for a couple of hours but nothing.

What kind of issues are you having with the effects exactly?

What was the message you received when trying to install 1.8.1? A screenshot would be very helpful if that is possible.

Are you able to take a screen shot of the point where it starts to stall so I can see exactly what part of the process this is?

Alright so I tried installing v2.2 on a different laptop with almost the same specs as mine with the NS6 connected and same issue. After it installs the drivers it just stops half way. I'm assuming now that it isn't my computer and it has to do more with the NS6. Here is the screenshot of where it stops.

Hey, yeah thanks, the screen shot upload it definitely working.

Are you definitely logged in to the admin account of the computer?

Do you have multiple drives in the computer or partitions?

Perhaps you could try disabling UAC: serato.com

Also, try completely uninstalling ITCH from your program manager (Start Menu > Control Panel > Programs), then re-downloading then re-installing ITCH 2.2 from our website.
AstroLapse 11:12 PM - 6 June, 2012
Yes I'm logged in as the admin since I'm the only user account. I disabled UAC as well as any anti-virus programs I have but still no luck. I was able to install ITCH 2.1 with my NS6 connected. No matter what I try though v2.2 stops half way and won't install at all. Oh and no I don't have multiple drives or partitions. I hardly have anything on my hard drive other than music but I still have a lot of space. I think I'm going to stick with v2.1 until this issue is resolved.

did you make sure to delete any existing drivers via the device manager? That bit is the most important.

As martin c said, you may want to do a full un-install. Then you plug in your NS6 and make sure that the driver are deleted (as per what I said before) before you want to try an install again.

I can say from experience that the UAC is not the cause of this issue, it is something to do with the drivers installing and the way that is handled in the install script for windows machines. The anti-virus stuff in my (possible) workaround seems to have little effect - it is there more to stop anything else interfering with the install process.

@Bazildon I deleted the existing drivers from device manager and did a full-uninstall of the program and tried to install v2.2 with NS6 connected but still no luck. I successfully installed v2.1 back for now but have no idea what's wrong with v2.2 installer.

Ok, so just as a test, are you able to install Scratch Live 2.4.1? You can remove it straight away after the test if need be> serato.com

I am just wanting to see if you are having difficulties with all our latest installers, or if it just specifically ITCH 2.2. (Although you did mention 1.8.1 had issues also.)
