I was reading in the forum that im able to map the xd to a rane sl, is it true?

There is currently no video function in ITCH - if you want to use video you'll have to use ScratchLive with a matching Scratch Live interface (SL2,SL3,SL4 or a Rane mixer)

If you own an interface you can map several functions from within Scratch Live to your Xone : DX. However, you map all functions (e.g. you can't use the platters to control the virtual decks)

One last question

You say i wont be able to control the virtual decks. But If I attend to mix directly from the Xone DX will i still have my video sync?

(Imagining that the xone DX and the Serato Scratch Live interface are connected and the softwares running)

It's probably best to explain a possible setup to make things clear:

What you need for Video SL to run is Serato Scratch Live software, a Scratch Live interface or Rane mixer and turntables or CDJs to control your virtual decks together with a mixer (in case you're using a SL interface like the SL4).
You can't really use the Xone:DX as a mixer with ScratchLive, that doesn't work.

However you could use the Xone:DX as a midi controller in addition to your Scratch Live setup and midi assign functions like cue points, effects etc. to the controller. I haven't tried yet how good it works with the video plugin but you can midi map pretty much all functions.


If you mean, that you want to run ITCH next to Scratch Live - that would be performance wise absolutely not advisable.

I was telling you that because I was reading this: serato.com
People say that ITCH has to be minimize(Obviously for running the Xone:DX) then open Serato Scratch Live (with an SL Interface of course) and then run SL video. Is this the best way to use Video SL with a Xone:DX

I guess ill have to buy an SL interface to try it
