Hello from Greece ! It started last week but today i had a really big problem with my vci so couldn't use it. Last week i was playing only with the crossfader because my left channel fader was not working properly. I could only turn the volume down by the gain. Although i had the channel fader off, i still had sound out on the air. Whatever i tryied couldn't solve the problem. Is there a solution i can take care by myself or is a technical problem of the console ? What can i do ? Can't work..... thank u very much 4 ur time !

Emile is it fixed now ? What have u done to solve it? I really start to believe that vci 300 is not so reliable as i thought ..... I can't work even with the crossfader because it's also not working properly ( still hear some of the sound from the left fader on the air ) !!!

Hi iliasdemer,
Was it just your left channel fader that became unresponsive? Did it go back to normal after you restarted your system?
Cheers

Hi Christian , no it didn't. I restarted my laptop and my vci and the program but it doesn't work. I believe that the problem might be from the console and not from the software. I also have updated my system to the latest version but the problem still remains. And yes it's only the left fader it's not working. The right one is ok. Thank u !

Does everything else on your VCI work fine? and when you move the left channel fader, does the 'data' light flash (top left on your VCI)?

Yes everything is fine except my left fader and a slight problem with my crossfader which is not so accurate. ( i hear sound in the air but veryl ow when it's on the right ) And yes my data light flashes when i move the left fader .

Hey iliasdemer,
sorry for the delay, it sounds like your faders arent going right to the end of their range, possibly due to dirt inside the faders. You could try some basic cleaning with a little electrical contact cleaner, but I would recommend if you are at all unsure to take it to the authorised Vestax dealer in your territory.

I have also experienced this same exact issue with my VCI-300. I've had mine for about 10 months, and shortly after I downloaded Serato ITCH 1.5 a couple days later during my online broadcast my left channel fader went out.
Now my crossfader acts as though it is my left channel fader - as well as a crossfader. When I move my crossfader from right to left and have the channel fader curve on more of a gradual curve, the volume increases gradually all the way until it has reached the left. A video best describes my point, I hope this helps describe what is wrong with yours iliasdemer.

DJDDIRTY and Maskrider could you please start your own threads so I can help you out individually and not get confused with iliasdemers problem?
thanks

DJDDIRTY that's exactly the same problem as mine. Christian do u still think that the solution to this problem is what u have told me ? Or i should try something else ? But i repeat that is EXACTLY what happens to my console too......
Thank u DJDDIRTY !

We still think its a hardware problem guys, but I was a little confused by DJDDIRTY's video. I see that the left channel fader didnt seem right, but the crossfader looked OK?
Am I right in thinking that your crossfader produces a gradual fade to the left, even when your crossfader curve is set to hard-cut in?

Christian, I'll go ahead and start my own thread. But yes the left channel fader produces nothing. Whenever I adjust the curve of the channel fader (not the curve of the crossfader), the volume doesn't reach full volume until moved all the way to the left - as seen in 1:52 - 2:02 in my video. I the curve of my crossfader on sharp, so when it is all the way to the left only the left deck will play.
So to answer your question, yes it does produce a gradual fade even when my crossfader is set to hard-cut in.

Yes, you can update the software in your console too. With the unit connected, go into the setup tab in ITCH, and find the button "Check for firmware update" - this will tell you if your unit is up to date.
*** make sure you do NOT disconnect the unit while it is updating the firmware, this will cause your VCI to stop working altogether!
If this doesnt solve your problem, you may need to get your unit checked out. In your territory this is handled by
