Hey guys, you have all been extemely helpful in the past. I was hoping you guys can help me figure this one out too..

When I load up a song, the song volume has been raised up much higher than when I use a regular (Windows Media player) to play it. Also the song is very very distorted. This song sounds perfect when I play it on WMA.

The bitrate is good
I am using CD's so no possible way of bad needle
My CD's are brand new so no scratches
"use auto gain" is unchecked
