apologies am using vista. and the music will keep playing after the mouse pointer freezes. am not using an external hard-drive with NTFS, although i import mp3 tracks to the internal drive from an external that is formatted ntfs. i have built all the overviews as well. same story - in the middle of a gig with 300 people. lucky i had few old vinyl!

It sounds like your running into a corrupt file(s).

Have you gone through the build overviews process and gotten rid of any corrupt files the builder finds?

If not, do so.

Know that even if you don't play a corrupt file it can still cause SSL to freeze or crash. (music will often times still play when it freezes).
