I just picked up Platinum Notes. It's a DJ program from the guys at Mixed In Key. Basically the program takes your MP3's and adjusts them. It supposedly takes the bitrate you have and converts the MP3 to 320kbps and also levels the volume to what they call -13db. They also eliminate clipped peaks and bring more warmth to the sound. You can check for yourself and judge if it's for you. (Just a reminder 320Kbps is 2.5 times the size of 128kbps which I know some people still use). I chose the program for the volume leveling and it worked for the most part with my MP3's that I have gotten from tons of different sources at different volume levels. I have 10 of thousands of MP3's and it seemed easier to use the program than to go through all of them in Scratch Live one at a time and adjust the volume. I did use the auto-gain feature in Scratch Live initially but had mixed results, probably due to clipped peaks. But anyway the program looked like the answer to my issues so I bought it. Regardless of what it does to my MP3's all of my new Platinum Notes MP3 go into my crates and have the dreaded cracked icon next to them. So far when playing them I have had zero issues with the way they sound and no gaps in the song, but it would be nice to know when I'm getting the error simply because they are P.N.'s MP3's and when there is a problem with the actual song. Anyone else having this issue?
