Computer: mac
OS Version: 10.5.3

When I go to install SSL, I can open the .dmg file, but when I go to open the folder called Scratch LIVE Installer, my Mac pops up a window saying it doesn't have a default application to open the file with. I am running OSX 10.5.4.

It sounds like the Installer.app found in the Utility folder within your Applications folder is missing. Check the Utility folder, is it in there?

If you have another Mac, you can copy the Installer.app to a disc or falsh drive and then move it into your Utilities folder.

Have you're friend email it to you again, but have him/her remove the .app extension first. After you receive the file add the .app extension and place it back into your Utilities folder.
