After A crash at my friday gig, I examined my serato box and found out the problem. The plastic little black stick between the 4 pins inside the usb port connect has broken off. It still works sometimes if the cord is not touch or moved by bass, but its still scary so i dare not to use it. I couple of my friends has the same problems with their serato box. I take care of my serato box and always dissconnected my usb wire when i pack into my dj bag. Also My box is 3 years old and is out of warranty is there anywhere can i send this to get it repaired?

Send it to Rane..They will give you a RA#(return authorization) and you send it in and they'll hook you up.

I think your problem is "and always dissconnected my usb wire when i pack into my dj bag"

That overtime will cause those type of problems. I leave ALL my wires in my SSL box.

BTW call them or send a PM to a mod in order to get a RA#....you cannot send it to them without it.

The unit is a factory service only unit. That is to keep it under warranty though. If you are out of warranty, we are still happy to fix it. Call us at 425.355.6000 to obtain a Return Auth #. On the other hand if you have a buddy who is crafty with that type of repair, you won't void the warranty if there is none.
