I have completed ripping all my PO DVDs and now all my files are one large file. what program can be used to break and name each chapter/videos? I used Handbreak with V SL setting to convert all the DVDs. Do I now have to individually cut each chapter and rename it? I was going to order Quicktime Pro or use Sony Vegas to perfrom this function. There has to be an easier way!!! Please help!

Mactheripper does not help. All my files have been converted to MP4 already, however they are not broken into individual videos, it one huge file/track.

You can use the Add to Queue feature in handbrake to setup individual chapter files before importing the DVD.

Taken from handbrakes site: trac.handbrake.fr
Quote:
Queue

The queue allows you to set up a batch of video processing jobs at one time. Each job will then be processed sequentially.

Set everything up for the first encode. Except, instead of clicking the "Encode" button, click the "Add to queue" button on the toolbar.

It'll seem like nothing happened, except for "1 task in queue" appearing at the bottom of the window. Just go ahead and change the title, chapter, or source in use, and be sure to rename the destination file. Tweak any settings you want. Again click "Add to queue" instead of "Encode." Repeat these steps for the whole batch of videos you wish to convert.

When you've got everything set up, it's time to click "Encode." All your movies will be encoded in one batch.

To see detailed information about what jobs are in the queue, or to remove a job from the queue, click the "Show Queue" button on the toolbar. A sheet will pop up with a list of all queued jobs with what settings they use, and with buttons to remove any particular job.

Jobs can be both added and removed from the queue even once you've started encoding.

However, if you cancel encoding, you will lose the entire queue.

what if all my PO dvds have already converted to MP4? Will this work with MP4 files? If not what other options do I have?

Handbrake is only able to encode/import files from DVDs

I'm not sure what you can use to separate the chapters for files already imported. Maybe iMovie has an option for adding track markers and an ability to export individual tracks?

but when you pull up the source file, only several .vob files listed and it doesn't add up to the the same amount of chapters on the DVD. So how can you rename them and add to queue?

Unfortunately, Handbrake is only able to read up to 50 chapters, if I recall correctly.

Have a look at this article -->> PC: Converting a DVD or VOB file using Handbrake -->> www.scratchlive.net

The article doesn't cover the Add to Queue feature, but it will walk you through how to get everything to the point of being able to select the chapters needed for each video you're adding to the queue.
