I finally set up another coffin with djm 900 and cdj 2000s thru an SL4 box.

I can't figure out how to get my djm 900 to map with the Upfaders and Crossfader to fade video in/out. I have zero experience with the midi mapping procedure.

Can you help me?

Sure can... the 909 isn't a midi mixer and therefore the upfaders and cross fader can't be mapped. Anything else?

Hi DJ Boozie. Im inquiring about DJM 900 Nexus. Not a 909. Though an awesome mixer, I sold my 909 to get my 1st ttm57 in either 2006 or 2007. I do appreciate you stopping by though. Nice logo.

Oh Ok I read that to fast... You need a midi to usb plug to get the fader to work. Thanks I made that logo myself

Hi KentonD1,

Yes you will need to get a MIDI>USB cable that can convert the midi data into a USB connection. Then once you have it all connected, you can just map the crossfader as you would map anything else (select MIDI from the top, click on the crossfader, then move the fader on the DJM-900 and it will map).

Use the "C" button while mapping to change the MIDI data signal if the fader isn't functioning correctly.

Cheers

What no USB to Midi cable needed the DJM900 has a USB port that sends midi data just hook that up to you computer.

I appreciate your help guys. Code:E was correct. I just connected the supplied usb a few days ago and it did the trick. Thanks again!!!

No worries KentonD1,

I will close this thread as you seem to have found a solution. Thanks!
