The only sound I am getting is the signal from the record. When I drag a song up to play I can see that it is playing by the wavelength on the screen, but no sound is coming out.

There a few things you can do to help you with your issue:

1) We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of Scratch Live (2.4.1), which is available via the 'Support & Downloads' tab on the Serato website (see link below).

2) Please also check that your USB 2.0 cord is not faulty, if so you will need to replace it. It may also pay to have a spare cable with you.

3) Please also check that your 'Audio Input' setting is set to 'Phono' and not 'Line'.

I downloaded the new version already. I don't think it's the USB chord because it was working when I bought it a week ago. I just hooked it up today. I also don't think it's the USB because when I unplug it a message pops up that it's disconnected and the serato stops working.
