is it possible to get the dead spot on the right side of the crossfader to be 1mm like the left side?
i've been following the forums but couldn't figure out how to post a comment in the thread that has been started there.
any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm mostly a right hand on fader kinda guy :)
will this be fixed with a software based solution?

Hi there rid dim fernandez,
Can you please explain what you mean by "dead spot"?
The fader curve should be identical.
If your noticing a difference try calibrating the faders.
You do this by first putting all the faders in the middle of their fader positions, holding down the Cue 1 and Cue 2 buttons, turning off the mixer, and turning it back on (while holding down the buttons).
If it calibrates correctly the Cue buttons will flash once.
If it didn't calibrate correctly the Cue buttons will flash 3 times.
If it doesn't calibrate correctly chances are the faders weren't centered correctly.
Try it again, making sure the faders are set directly in the middle.
Let me know how you get on
Cheers :)

Hi there,
I tried calibrating but it didn't help the problem.
The cut in points for the crossfader are not equal - the left comes in 1mm but the right is 4mm.
There is a thread in the Rane Mixer section already for this and a number of customers ste having the same issue as myself. I'm really hoping that Rane can solve this for us with a firmware update:)
Thank you,
Alec

Yes we have heard a few of the new Rane crossfaders are playing up, but yes there should be a fix coming out soon that will resolve this issue, unfortunately i am unable to say when, as its up to Rane to release this firmware update.
If you have any more questions feel free to contact Rane at www.rane.com to discuss a fix.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but hopefully they get it sorted soon :)
Cheers
