I used to DJ on a MBP, but download and arrange my music and crates on a Windows Machine. The hard drives I used were formatted as NTFS drives on both. A Mac can read NTFS formatted drive, but can't write to it. So any cue points or changes I make while DJ'n on the MBP are not saved. So I made my Window Machine a Hackintosh so I can read and save to Mac OS EXT (Journaled). So now I will change both drives to Mac OS Ext (Journaled), but I need a Mac Program that can sync both ways. So if I add music to one and cue points to the other, they can see each other and update the appropriate files on <b>both drives<b>. I used to use a windows program call ViceVersa Pro to sync both ways. I need a Mac programs that does the same. I looked at SuperDuper but it seems that it does not do two way syncing, just one way.

I'm not sure about that but if I were you I would reformat both drives to MS-Dos (FAT32 in the PC wolrd).
That way you can still use ViceVersa.

Hum, sounds like a plan to me. Are there any drawbacks to using FAT32? I read here-->

www.pcworld.com

that the limit for a partition may be 2TB, I'm currently over that 2TB limit. (due to video files)

Hi kwestyon,

FAT32 is a great format because it allows you to transfer from Mac to PC and vice versa, but unfortunately you won't be able to put any file over 4GB onto that drive.

FAT32 is a Microsoft file system, that was included with Windows 98 and similar versions. The file size was limited to 4 GB, which was bigger than most hard disks at the time, but would be smaller than some common video files today.

But if you don't have any files larger than that then FAT32 sounds like the way to go!

Let me know how you get on :)
