Greetings friends....I haven't had a post in quite some time so I guess I am due. Last night I made two crates before going to bed. I just came home from work and one crate was totally gone...like no idea where it went. The other one was in the trash can. So I took it out from the trash can put it back in my subcrate folder played a few tracks....closed SSL....reopened it and again the crate was dumped into the trash bin.

I have a 2009/10 Macbook Pro 15"
2.66ghz
8gb ram

and all my music (including my serato folder) is on a Lacie 1tb external hardrive . It was formatted Mac Extended Journalled

Any help would be fantastic...thank you mates.

PS I only have serato crates no itunes playlists or anything of that matter.

Was there any music in the crates?

How much free space do you have on your 1Tb?

Was the program closed normally? No crash or force quit?

Was the external properly ejected?

Hey Chad

There was about 10 tracks if that in the crate

The TB drive has about roughly 300gb worth of music....everything else is free space.

The program was closed normally. No crash or force quit.

The external stays plugged in to my laptop. I shut it down normally as I always do.

I forgot to mention in my original posting I am on 2.4.1 of SL

Well, that would leave no obvious reasons.

Is it always one or two certain crates or is it any new crate you make?

It was just that one crate Chad. I have no idea why. I actually went ahead and made the crate over and it has not dumped it as of yet...

Cool. Remaking the crate would have been my suggestion if it was always one or two. Sometimes those files can get corrupted. Pretty rare but can still happen.
