I am not sure this is a problem with the software, and don't think it is, but just thought I'd ask anyway. I use a portable HD that holds my music, sometimes when I am sending a song over to a chanel the HD would eject. I don't have to tell you the problem that causes in a middle of a set. I just updated my version of scratch live to the 2.4.1, I was using 2.3.3(?) until then.
Do you guys have any idea what may cause this? It doesn't happen all the time, but I was just wondering if it is because the HD maybe hot or if it is just a glitch in the data message that occurs sometimes?
Hopefully you have an answer that could help.
Thank You

Check the drive for a small application called Smartware. Within the Smartware preferences or settings, make sure the sleep timer is disabled.

I disabled the sleep timer, but just wondering, the timer would only kick in if the HD is inactive, correct? This situation usually happens while I am playing, so isn't the drive working while I'm playing?

I also ran the diagnostic scans in the software, everything came up negative.

The sleep timer has caused issues with other users in the past, so disabling it is definitely recommended. Test things a bit and see if you can reproduce the problem :)

Thanks, I will do that; may take some time as that it usually happens when I've been playing for a few hours at least. I'll see what happens next time I play out.

i'll let u know.
