I decided to upgrade from Itch 1.5 (which I have found to be most stable out of any release) to 2.2 and give it a shot. Well, I played 5 different gigs this week and get random audio freezes for a few seconds at a time usually once a gig. I'm not seeing a pattern as to why it happens and I know this happened for every version of Itch I've tried after 1.5. I get no dropouts in 1.5. I'm reading the forums and see others having similar problems. Any ideas?

Also, it seems to be happening after a couple of hours into the gig. No specific song either.

Hi romch,

This is definitely a bit strange! So do you still have ITCH 1.5 installed on your computer?

Have you analyzed all your files and ensured none of them are showing the corrupt file symbol?

Do you have any other USB devices connected to your computer? external drive/mouse etc?

I still have 1.5. I used it last night, worked perfectly. All files are analyzed and i get rid of any corrupted. Basically, I know the drill. I do use an external drive through the firewire 800 port.

What is your USB buffer size set to in ITCH 2.2?

If you disconnect the external drive and just do some testing with files on your internal drive for a while (remove any other devices other than the HC5000) is there any improvements?

Also can you make sure you have gone through this article and changed your settings for optimum use with ITCH: serato.com

Let me know how you get on.

Buffer size at 512. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to test with only internal files. I'll check out the article.

Is there any improvement when moving it to 1024? (hard right)

Does the problem get any worse if you move the buffer to hard left? Remember you will need to click "apply changes" to accurately test.

Let me know if there is any improvement after going through the article, and whether things improve when using files on your internal drive :)
