OHAI guys ^_^
I got cut off from Scott on the phone because I gotz no credits au. So thought I'd post on here.
Got a brand new TWITCH controller, and am running ITCH 2.2 and 10.7.3 on a brand new Macbook Air. The first time I connected TWITCH, nothing happened and ITCH still flashed "Hardware Disconnected". Also, the touch strips on ITCH flashed red inside out over and over again.
After talking to Stokes (wattup), I deleted the Novation audio driver and 2.2, and reinstalled 2.1. After restarting, I plugged the controller in and the same thing happened - hardware disconnected and touch strips flashing.
This leads me to believe it could be a hardware/firmware problem. Is there anything else you can suggest I try? Any known issues around this?
Sorry that I'm such a scrub and can't call you.

Talked to Ben at Novation today, and tried installing the latest USB driver from their website (2.4), but it didn't help. Just waiting to talk to them again ^_^

As a rough test, try starting Itch with the controller plugged in, then unplug and re-plug with Itch still running.
Another check is to start System Preferences and see if the Twitch is detected in the Sounds-Outs. If it's being picked up OK there it is an Itch thing.

Hey pilmat,
Thanks for the help dude. I've already tried plugging every which way possible, including the different USB ports, and different versions. Just checked the sound outs and TWITCH isn't registering.

HAI Bridge,
Did you manage to speak with Novation again? What do you mean by checking the sound outs?
It does sound hardware related from what you have mentioned so far....
Lets check out a couple of things though:
1. Use your spotlight, and search for "Audio MIDI Setup"
-This should show up the "Audio Devices" window. Does the TWITCH appear here?
-Go to the toolbar at the top, then along to the"window" drop down menu, then select "show MIDI window" Does the TWITCH show up here at all? You might need to scroll along to the right within this window.
2. Does it show up in your sound settings? Go System Preferences > Sound.
- Is the TWITCH showing up here? If it does, and you select it as your default output, are you able to use the TWITCH as a sound card? Test with iTunes or something perhaps.
I guess my other suggestion would be if you are able to test the unit with another computer? Does it work?
If you answers to all these questions are NO, I would say it is a hardware problem.
Let me know how you get on :)

Hey Martin,
Checked the "sound outs" which is your number two suggestion. I'll try number one today, and also connect it to another computer to see if that's it.
Will let you know x

Negatory on registering in the Audio MIDI setup. Talked to Novation, and I just need to try and find another computer somewhere to try it on. I'll let you know! (Cool story)

It's the hardware. I tried it with a different USB cable and a different computer and no dice. Thanks for the help anyway. Will have to work out with Novation when it gets fixed.
Bye guys! I miss you!
