Also, check that your video files adhere to the recommended format for use with Serato Video here; serato.com

i still don't find any improvement i have installed all the above mentioned links..now get a error message your video drive has stopped working if i keep playing videos for more than 2 min..if disable video plugin it runs smoothly... All the videos i have is smash vidz...

Is the error message being flagged in Scratch Live or is this a windows registry error ?

Did you determine which video decoder you are using on your laptop ?

Did you set your graphics card to high performance in the ATI Catalyst Control Center ?

ya I've optimized ma computer properly everything is in the maximum performance mode.. I've set ma decoder registry to ffd UseDirectShow ..and the error msg is from the windows start menu saying that the display driver has stopped working..i wanna know is this because am using demo version of video-sl or might be a driver issue..what should have been causing this..so plz help me with this..

I've even downgraded ma scratch live version to 2.3.3..

if i load a video track using shortcut shift arrow it take 5 to10 sec for loading into the deck..and other thing is im not able to use the video effects in the scratch live is this because of demo mode?..but i used it the latest verion of scratch live 2.4.1..

i installed the newer ver of serato video 1.0.1 i tried to enable v sync and frame blending option after enabling that all the video which i load takes more than 30 sec and it freezes some times..then after playing video for 1 min i got a blue dump memory error..then i disable both vsync and frame blending it took the same time for loading a track even freezes then i let the track playin for 2 min with the effects pannel on ma video screen became black...now am uploading the screen shot of ma error..

These features above use CPU processing and if they are slowing down the load time then it sounds more like a problem with the processing on your laptop. Is it possible to check your task manager and keep an eye on the CPU usage and which applications are running ?

Could you please detail your full computer specs. Can you also check how much ram is on the GPU ?

Also, where are your audio and video files stored ? External or internal hard drive ?

Do you use a USB hub ? If so is it a powered hub ?

If all your files have been analyzed in Scratch Live and any corrupt files removed from your Scratch Live library then I suggest that you create a new database V2 file also.

I've Intel i7,8GB ram,640 GB hdd,Dedicated DDR5 Dedicated Graphics Memory Capacity 2 GB
Graphic Processor AMD Radeon HD 6770M...2.0 usb port and 3.0 usb rort and the rane hardware which irun is on 3.0 usb port..and i never use any usb hub for connecting rane hardware...after trying all the version of scratch live..i went to ma bios setting in ma laptop and changed ma graphics setting to dynamic mode..now am running serato 2.3.3 with vsl 1.2in demo mode its now running smoother than ever before...but when i try to run serato video 1.0.1 demo in 2.4.1 in dynamic mode of graphics i get a message intel graphics not supported but ma setting are in maximum performance but when i change to fixed graphics mode in bios i can able to run but it freezes like anything...i wanna know the difference between demo version of vsl and authorized version... will there be a fix if purchase a serial for serato video..and am not getting the effects panel if i run vsl in 2.3.3..but i can find the effects panel in 2.4.1 serato video with the demo screen..is this the only difference in serato video?

If the effects panel is not showing up in VSL that means that VSL is not seeing your dedicated GPU either. You still need to find a way to force the use of that GPU with the AMD software.

The Demo version of Video-SL is a fully functioning version of the plugin. It has the watermark embedded in the Mix Output and you can NOT fullscreen the Output, however you can drag the bottom right hand corner to fill the Output screen.

Video-SL is no longer for sale, and compatibility of this plugin ended with Scratch Live 2.3.3.

If your video effects are not showing up then as phatbob has mentioned this may be a result of Scratch Live and Video-Sl not utilizing the ATI GPU. You can check if you have graphics restrictions by clicking on Video-SL>Setup>Info ( Graphics Restrictions ).

when i set ma graphics to fixed mode in bios settings..i can find effects panel and watermark in serato video setting..but if i play a track it freezes and video sl becomes not responding..what can be done to work vsl.. i still couldn't find any solution for that...plz help me with this.. I've tried all the above mentioned methods...why isn't there a proper release from serato still..
