I recently obtained a pair of Numark V7s, and am having a difficult time running Itch 2.2. During play, the MIDI dropout light appears sporadically and gets worse as time goes by. This happens within 1-2 minutes into a song. I have already following the Optimization Guide, and have moved the latency from 512/10ms to 1024/20ms. Still didn't help.
During playback, the songs will come out of sync, jump into the middle of the track, quicken tempo (started at 125, then randomly jumped to 156 without touching anything). I have reinstalled the Numark drivers and firmware. I have tried both V7s as master, same issue. I have tried all USB ports and 3 different cables. I have also tried multiple ways of turning on Itch and the V7s (both on then itch, itch on then V7s, one V7 then itch then other V7, itch on then V7 then slave V7).
Here is an example of the Dropout file with a total of about 30 minutes of play.

Wow!..it looks to be pretty serious.
I guess another avenue to investigate is operating system and/or computing platform swap-out.
See if you can borrow a higher specification Windows machine or a fairly late model Mac machine with at least 4GB Physical RAM.
Anyways, going back to the current Win7 platform, if you're familiar with Perfmon (Performance Monitoring) against Windows platforms, it would be useful for you to check-out what's happening on the computing resource.
If you have another computer, ideally a windows machine that you can attach to the same physical (ethernet) network I would suggest running a perfmon against the machine that is running Itch to get a view from a compute platform resource utilisation and/or bottlenecks perspective.
Another piece to the puzzle to assist your analysis and diagnosis.
I haven't had the need to analyse the behaviour or requirements of the Itch Application i.e. CPU, RAM and Disk requirements per use case scenario i.e. requires between x-y disk IO per second. But after my brother had bought a NS6 and had problems with the compute platform, it is probably useful to know how to use some of the performance analysis tools. He had no issues when running the controller on a higher spec Mac in the store (typical you say!..lol). Good-luck on working out what the problem is. I would put money on the OS and H/W platform is the bottle-neck.

I read some recent posts that mentioned that 2.2 has a bug that restarts songs in the middle of playback (another thing that began happening). I download 2.1, and it's working pretty well so far. *knocks on wood*
I'll keep you posted on my results. Thanks for the help so far!

Hey Jaeros,
Sorry to hear your having these issues. As you've read there has been issues with ITCH 2.2 and V7's.
We are looking into this issue and it's with our CRT team. Let me know how you go with ITCH 2.1, so any of the other issues still happening?
Regards
Dave W

Since going back to 2.1, I've had pretty much no issues. I've had the very occasional dropout, but nothing compared to what was happening in 2.2. I'm hitting the Limiter a lot, though, at a -3db headroom and 92db autogain.
Thanks again for the support! It's great to see a product with such a dedicated team.

Hey Jaeros,
Make sure you have your trims down a bit, limiter will kick in if you have it to high. Maybe push your master out a bit.

Turn the gains down on my external mixer? The limiter light is kicking in in the software.
