Hi jtyus,

I apologize for the delayed response, our Support Team has been extremely busy lately.

What is the workaround you were referring to? Could you provide me with a link?

Pitch 'n Time should appear in the audiosuite drop down menu as shown in the picture I have attached. Did you find it here?

Hello, I still need help with pitch in time, I did the work around just like you said for pro tools 7.3, is it supposed to run in the background with pro tools pitch shift showing? Or is the skin for pitch and shift should be showing? I got the track to change speeds but by using pro tools pitch shift?? And I do not see any attachment from you.
Thanks

And yes I found it in the audiosuite drop down menu, and I changed all of the settings and saved them. I also was trying to find out just how to use it, I saw a tutorial on You tube, I tried that but to no avail.

This is the work around

A Workaround:
For example to use V mode with TC/E tool on ProTools 7.3 or lower

1) Open PnT Pro.
2) Click on V.
3) Save a new setting using the drop down next to in the plug-in header.
4a) Call the new setting "V mode".
4b) Click on "Set As User Default" (also drop down next to
4c) Click "Settings Preferences->Set Plugin default to->User Setting"
4d) Close plugin
5) Go to Setup -> Preferences -> Processing.
6) Your TC/E Plug-In should be Serato Pitch 'n Time Pro
7) Choose "V mode" as the Default Setting.
8) Process using the TC/E too

I dont think the PT pitch shift tool should run in the background, that sounds like it is still using the Pro Tools pitch shift tool.

Are you positive you followed all the instructions in the workaround correctly? Did anything happen that you didn't expect?

When you launch Pro Tools, then check Setup > Preferences > Processing, then double check that Pitch 'n Time Pro is selected as TC/E Plug-in and the default settings are "v mode"?

Hello Martin, i did not think that PT pitch shift should run in the background either. I followed closely what the work around said to do, when I launched it in Pro Tools 7.3 and tried to change the tempo of the song nothing happened, are there any tutorials out there to explain just what to do once PT pitch shift is opened?

Thanks

Jerome

again this is what I did:

Hey jtuys,

I have taken a screen shot to show you what to expect to see when using the TC/E tool with Pitch 'n Time. (See file attached to this thread just above my post.)

If you were to restart Pro Tools, then go to setup > Preferences > Processing, does Serato Pitch 'n Time appear as already being used as the default? and with v mode?

This should tell you most certainly whether Pitch 'n Time will be used for the processing or not.

Hello, no I never got this far, I only got to the preferences part with the V mode and when I opened it up and highlighted my tracks and applied the effect nothing happened, no tempo change at all..where is a manual or a toturial? Because something is not working for me.

thanks

Other than the FAQ above, I dont believe there is any further explanation anywhere else.

To clarify, if you were to restart Pro Tools, then go to setup > Preferences > Processing, does Serato Pitch 'n Time appear as already being used as the default? and with v mode?

If answer to this is no, then we need to focus on getting that to happen before any tempo changing will take place.
jtyus 12:20 AM - 15 June, 2012
Yes It does come up, I see the program opens up but it just did not change the tempo for me..thanks anyway, I found out that I can change my tempos in Pro Tools. I was only using the demo model to check it out but I'm good to go with Pro Tools Pitch Shift.

Could you please take a screen shot of what is displayed when you go to setup > preferences > processing?

Then upload the picture to this thread so I could check everything is in order :)
