This has happened twice to me so far. PLaying a song, all of a sudden it disappears, audio cuts out, file and file ID is erased. Itch labels the tag as a corrupt file, but the file is gone. Help!

Just happened again! It happens when I use the track selector dials and the "Load A" or B buttons.

Hey Nightlife Entertainment,
Make sure your Files are all analyzed firstly and delete all the corrupt files. Here is an article to guide you : serato.com
Let me know how you go with that.

These are all files I use on a regular basis. I'm replacing the files, since they won't play in any program.

Yeah, it's still doing it. In fact, it's worse. It's corrupting files at random now. Just using a file can cause it to become corrupted when I change a song. It's almost as if it's not loading or unloading songs properly into the player.

I have noticed, and I read in a few other threads, that it happens on .wav files, which is true. I haven't lost any mp3 files. Not sure if it's a correlation, maybe a .wav file is too big for the cache and runs off the hard drive, losing the file upon load or unload. It doesn't happen when the song is playing. It either happens on load or unload. I also had a bunch of songs that it happened to, and I replaced the physical files on the hard drive. Itch found them and corrupted them all again, one without even playing it!

Hey Nightlife Entertainment,
Yeah this is true, .wav files with the RIFF chunk missing at the end of the file are causing this issue, we discovered this was happening and fixed it by filling that chunk. It's fixed in the Scratch Live 2.4.2 Beta. serato.com
Until we release a new update of ITCH this will unfortunately still occur with .WAV files, be assured that with the next release it will be fixed. Only work around at this stage is to use .MP3's or roll back to ITCH 1.8.1. Sorry, hope to bring a new update out soon.
